Artist in Residence: Nick Earls
In 1985, as the RBWH Foundation was being established, a fifth-year medical student named Nick Earls was making his own debut in the operating theatres of Royal Brisbane Hospital.
A passion for words, not wards however, saw Nick retire his stethoscope and instead turn his talents to becoming one of Australia’s most loved authors.
Four decades later, Nick makes a nostalgic return as the inaugural RBWH Foundation Artist in Residence, chronicling 40 Strong Stories about the dedicated and passionate ‘Humans at the Heart of Healthcare’, who have made their mark on our 40-year history.
