Now closed.
RBWH Foundation Grants are made possible through the extraordinary power of giving.
RBWH Foundation Grants are intended to provide financial support for RBWH, STARS and Institutes on the Herston Health Precinct to undertake projects (including research) that improve patient outcomes at RBWH and STARS. We seek applications for projects/initiatives of up to $50,000.
The purpose of the RBWH Foundation is to save lives through the extraordinary power of giving. Our mission is that together, we advance patient care and life-saving research.
RBWH Foundation research and patient care grants
The RBWH Foundation is proud to help incubate and foster some of the most brilliant medical minds in Australia, based at Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital (RBWH), Redcliffe Hospital, The Surgical, Treatment and Rehabilitation Service (STARS) and Institutes on the Herston Health Precinct.
It is our honour to support early career researchers, as well as those well established in their field of discovery.
This support has led to significant breakthroughs in medical knowledge and improvements in patient outcomes.
We are grateful to the philanthropic individuals, families and organisations who partner with us through their connection with causes that truly make a difference.

RBWH Foundation Grant Round 2 Recipients Announced
The RBWH Foundation has announced almost $500,000 in innovative patient care and medical research projects.
More information on each project can be found on our Project Hub page.
“The RBWH and RBWH Foundation Project Grant was my first grant as an independent researcher and allowed me to conduct a clinical trial that was accessed by RBWH and Metro North patients.
We built relationships between departments and hospitals/institutions that has led to other trials. I will forever be grateful to the RBWH and RBWH Foundation for their generosity and faith in me to perform meaningful, cutting edge research that serves to help patients and their loved ones.”
Dr Matthew Roberts
RBWH and STARS Urologist and Robotic Surgeon
