Heartwarming reunion to celebrate 40 Years Strong

10 Mar 2025

As part of the RBWH Foundation's 40th Anniversary celebrations, current and former staff and alumni of RBWH, STARS, the Herston Health Precinct, Redcliffe Hospital and the RBWH Foundation gathered at Victoria Park to celebrate their contribution to four decades of advancing patient care and medical research.

Guests shared laughs, stories and memories of their own experiences, including those from our wonderful MC, Metro North Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officer Adjunct Professor Alanna Geary. Alanna reflected on her own proud association with the RBWH and the evolution of nursing and midwifery research over the past 40 years.

A highlight of the afternoon was when RBWH Foundation Patient Ambassador Christine Moody (picture below right: L-R Chris Moody, RBWH Foundation CEO SImone Garske and Adjunct Professor Alanna Geary) presented the Foundation with her original artwork '40 Years Strong' - a visual map of our 40 year history.

The artwork (below centre) will be auctioned at the RBWH Foundation Ruby Gala Ball on Saturday 30 August, so save the date!

On behalf of the RBWH Foundation, thank you to all our supporters for for all you have done and continue to do in creating better health outcomes for all Queenslanders.
