Donations fund Extraordinary Opportunities grant round
The outstanding generosity of RBWH Foundation donors and Team Royal fundraisers, at this year’s RBWH Foundation Giving Day, will see more than $500,000 distributed across Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH) through the inaugural Extraordinary Opportunities grants.
Applications closed at the end of September and successful projects will be announced in December.
Helping RBWH go above and beyond in patient care.
The Grants will support transformational projects, including research, which enhance the patient (or patient family) experience at Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH).
“The RBWH Foundation are so excited by the extraordinary opportunities and ideas submitted by Team Royal,” said the RBWH Foundation CEO Simone Garske.
“They were all of extremely high calibre and will help Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH) remain the best, brightest and kindest hospital in the State.”
As a sign of appreciation for Giving Day involvement, the 2022 Extraordinary Opportunities grant round has prioritised projects where the applicant contributed to Giving Day or supported the Foundation in some way.
Completed applications are now being assessed by a panel with representation from both RBWH and the RBWH Foundation.
This is an Extraordinary Opportunity for RBWH patients, regardless of how small or how ambitious proposed projects may be.
