Peter Buttrum, Executive Director Allied Health Professions, The Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
Whilst reluctantly accepting that social isolation has not affected his social life at all, Peter has still found surprising success interacting with others in several leadership positions in the health sector.
He is currently the acting ED Critical Care and Clinical Support Services and has previously been the Director of Physiotherapy at RBWH and the Director of Physiotherapy at QEII Jubilee Hospital in Metro South Health. Peter is an Adjunct Professor at The University of Queensland having also previously worked in the university sector, and currently sits on several university and professional advisory groups. Peter has either developed some successful leadership strategies, or the general acceptance of leadership mediocrity hasn’t exposed him yet. He hopes the former.
And whilst only being an aspiring academic in his current research pursuits, he has worked very hard over many years attempting to find an irresistible force that can integrate the often immovable objects that are Health Services and Universities. In many ways, he is still looking.Back
