The Royal Alumni provides a platform for past and present staff to connect on a professional, academic and social basis, and keeps members updated on current RBWH activities.
Since the first nurses graduated from the general hospital in 1888 and The University of Queensland (UQ) Medical School opened next to the hospital in 1939, the hospital has provided training for thousands of doctors, nurses and allied health professionals.
Many of these former members of staff still feel a strong affinity for the hospital and an interest in clinical advancements, research and teaching programs, as well as general hospital developments.
The Royal Alumni is managed by RBWH Foundation under the direction of a volunteer committee comprising past and present staff members led by Chair, Associate Professor Cliff Pollard. View our committee members.
